Hammer Toes is a deformity of the second, third or fourth toes.

These toes are bent and resemble a hammer.  When it first occurs the toes are still flexible and can be corrected with simple measures, but if left untreated they can become fixed and require surgery to correct.  You can also develop wounds, corns, calluses on other area's of the toes from them being stuck in this position.
