Calluses & Corns on your feet

Calluses & corns are thick hardened layers of skin that develop when the skin tries to protect itself against friction and pressure.

Corns develop over bony prominences on the feet. Corns are smaller and deeper than Calluses. Calluses are rarely painful and tend to develop on pressure spots on the foot such as the heel or the balls of the feet. Corns and calluses have a hard centre that are surrounded by swollen skin.

If they become painful or if you are a diabetic you will want to book into see us.
